Patient Participation Group (PPG)

What is a Patient Participation Group (PPG)?

A PPG is a group of patients who work with their practice to provide practical support, to help patients to take more responsibility for their own health and to provide strategic input and advice. They are based on cooperation between the practice staff and patients. They help to improve communication.

Our Aim:

  • Strengthen communication between the practice and patients by sharing information, listening to concerns, and improving mutual understanding.
  • Gather patient insight to help shape services, identify areas for improvement, and ensure care meets the needs of the local community.
  • Collaborate on service development, using patient feedback to influence decisions, support new initiatives, and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Promote patient involvement in health initiatives, wellbeing activities, and community support to encourage healthier lifestyles and improved outcomes.
