Appointments

There are 3 services, general surgery appointments, Enhanced Access Service and 111

1. Appointments – Call 01244 680169

The surgery is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6:30pm.  Appointments are available with a range of healthcare professionals.  These include GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, and Mental Health Professionals.

When ringing to book an appointment you will be asked the nature of your problem.  This enables you to be seen by the most appropriate person.

The practice operates a strict minor illness/injury policy.  If you present with a minor illness/injury you will be booked an appointment with an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in our minor illness/injury clinic, where available.  This helps to ensure that patients with more complex health needs can be seen by a GP.

GENERAL PRACTICE ACROSS THE COUNTRY IS SEEING A CONTINUED INCREASE IN DEMAND FOR APPOINTMENTS.

You can make an appointment by ringing 01244 680169 Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.30pm. It is important to remember that all consultations with the practice team are by appointment only.

GP Appointments

The GPs have booked clinics from 8.40am to 11.40am and 3pm to 5.10pm. Late appointments for people who work are available at 6pm.

Nurse appointments

The nurse clinician and practice nurses have clinics throughout the day. Please call the surgery.

Please note that when patients pre-book appointments in advance we see a huge amount of missed appointments, either because patients forget or no longer need their appointment.

Please work with us to avoid unnecessary appointments and create availability for those who need it.

2. Enhanced Access Service

The Enhanced Access Service is available at the following times:

  • Monday – Friday 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Call 01244 680169 to book

3. 111 – Out of Hours Service.

An urgent health care problem is one that cannot safely wait until the next routine surgery. If you need urgent medical advice or attention from a GP outside of normal surgery hours, please ring Freephone NHS 111 and they will arrange Out of Hours care.

Home visits

If you are too ill to attend surgery please telephone before 10.30am to request a visit at home that day.

Requests placed after midday will usually be visited the following day unless medically urgent. Please give an outline of the problem to help the doctor assess its priority.

Test results

Blood and X-ray results are available by telephone after 2.30pm.

Results will only be given to the patient for confidentiality reasons.

Please check that results are back before attending your follow up appointment.
